I have to share a funny story that happened this weekend. To start off, Carson has turned into a biter. If he's mad at me, he not only hits but he has started biting. Time outs don't seem to be phasing him so I've had several people tell me that I will need to bite him back. I've been putting it off because the thought of biting my child sounded horrible to me. So anyway, last weekend Carson was having one of his meltdowns and bit me. I had HAD it and I went ahead and bit him back. He smacked me in the face afterward and then he just started sobbing, like a "How could you do that?" sob. He gave me a big hug and I felt horrible but proceeded to tell him that ya, biting hurts! The next day, we had a wedding to go to, one of Tim's friends. While we were at the reception, a lady came and asked Carson if it was okay that she sat next to him. She then went on to say, "It's okay, I don't bite." Carson turned to her and said, "Mommy does." I about died! I don't think the lady heard him or understood him thank goodness, but talk about a mortifying yet hilarious moment in the adventures of motherhood.

That is hilarious! Don't kids say the darndest things?! Kate once told a little girl she was immodest right in front of her HUGE Samoan father. Needless to say Mike was lucky to come away without two black eyes.

-I didn't cry when Boston went to preschool, I was just so excited for him...but it's all too wierd, and really quiet around here!!
It always worries me what my kids will say about me in public. They are so innocent about it. One time I accidently burned leah on the arm when I was curling her hair and then we went to the store and she tells everyone she sees "mommy burns me". I got some very dirty looks.
That is so funny! I love how honest our kids are. they take things so literally.

For all of those who have asked if Carson is still biting, the answer is yes. Well, he has a few times and then he'll pull back quickly like, "ah oh!". The frequency of the bites has dropped, just not completely.
I like to share this story because it made me laugh so hard, not the biting because that isn't good but the comment. We miss you guys.

I haven't had a good laugh in while. It reminds me of the time Sophie told the mortgage guy... My mom and dad like to get in the shower. (he quickly added... oh so they be clean ) Thank goodness for people who understand that kids say the funniest things.
